Two things to do at your next board meeting

1) Reaffirm your agency’s Non Discrimination statement.

Can’t find it anywhere?

Use this one…

Name of Organization does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, nation origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its

activities or operations.

2) Develop your COOP Plan (Continuity of Operations).

This plan shows funders that your organization is prepared to “stay in business” in the event of a disaster. Go to ready.gov for a template to use to create your COOP Plan. It’s like using

Turbo Tax for your taxes: it’s user friendly and accurate.

Funders are beginning to ask for these documents along with a copy of the Board

meeting minutes when the Non Discrimination Policy and COOP Plan were adopted.
